Pre-Flight Walkthrough
Before we start the engine, your CFI walks you through the aircraft, covering what everything does, how we check it, and why. If you would like, you are welcome to do the preflight inspection yourself, guided every step of the way. If you would rather just watch and learn, that is fine too.

Takeoff, If You Want It
Your CFI makes the first radio call and hands them to you from there if you want them. When you are ready, you can line up on the runway, add the power, and rotate yourself. As much or as little as you want, this is real stick time, not a demo.
Want to make the first call yourself? Just say so. Your CFI will walk you through it word for word.

Once airborne, the controls are yours if you want them. Your CFI is there for safety and guidance, ready to take over any part you would rather hand off. The only thing your instructor always handles is the landing.
