The Grand Slam

Everything we offer. One decision. Zero guesswork.

Finish early? Your unused balance is refunded — no questions asked.

For $17,500 you get everything Gettysburg Flight School provides to take you from zero to certificate ready. The $17,500 funds your training account — students who finish their Private Pilot License early have their remaining balance refunded or applied toward additional training at no cost. Students who need more time continue at the same 3% discounted rate with no renegotiation required.

How far does it stretch?

After deducting the included headset (~$1,300), approximately $16,200 goes toward flight time. At the discounted rate — $174.60/hr aircraft, $77.60/hr instruction — a typical dual lesson runs about 1.3–1.5 hobbs hours on the aircraft while the instructor bills 1.5–2.0 hours for their time. Including the required 10 hours of solo flight (aircraft only, no instructor charge), most students land between 62 and 65 total flight hours on this budget.

Ground school is not included. We recommend Sporty's or King Schools — both available for under $300.

FAA medical exam, written test fee, and checkride examiner fees are not included in any package.

Unused Grand Slam balance is fully refundable after PPL completion. Early cancellation removes the discounted rate and applies an administrative fee.

Students on a discounted package must complete at least one flight per calendar year to maintain their discounted rate. Students who go 12 months without a logged flight will be reviewed and may be transitioned to Pay As You Go pricing with any unused balance refunded.
