This Enrollment Agreement ("Agreement") describes the terms of your flight training relationship with Gettysburg Flight School, operating at Gettysburg Regional Airport (W05). It applies alongside our Liability Waiver and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Services

Gettysburg Flight School provides flight instruction, ground instruction, and access to school aircraft for the purpose of pursuing a Private Pilot License and related ratings, as described on our Pricing page.

2. Packages and Pricing

Current aircraft and instruction rates, and the terms of our Pay As You Go and 5K Block packages, are published on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Rates in effect at the time of a flight or lesson apply to that flight or lesson. Any promotional pricing (such as a limited-time discount) applies only under the specific terms stated for that promotion.

3. Payment

Invoices are generated after each flight based on actual Hobbs time and instruction time logged. Amounts are deducted from your account balance. You are responsible for maintaining a sufficient balance or making payment as invoiced. Accounts with a negative balance may have training suspended until resolved.

4. No Guarantee of Completion Timeline or Outcome

The FAA requires a minimum of 40 flight hours for a Private Pilot License, but actual hours needed vary significantly by student. We do not guarantee any specific completion timeline, total cost, or outcome on any FAA knowledge test or checkride. Your progress depends on factors including frequency of training, individual aptitude, and weather.

5. Student Responsibilities

  • Attend scheduled lessons on time or provide reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Provide accurate information about your medical status, prior flight experience, and logbook records.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and school safety policies.
  • Report any aircraft discrepancies immediately using the school's squawk reporting system.
  • Maintain any FAA medical certificate or other certification required for your stage of training.

6. Instructor Assignment

The school assigns instructors based on availability and fit, and may reassign your instructor at its discretion, including for scheduling, safety, or training-progress reasons.

7. Aircraft Availability

Training is subject to aircraft airworthiness and availability. Flights may be rescheduled due to maintenance, weather, or safety concerns at the sole discretion of the school or your instructor.

8. Term and Termination

This Agreement remains in effect for the duration of your active training relationship with the school. Either party may end the training relationship at any time. Refunds of any unused balance are handled according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between the parties.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with our Liability Waiver and Refund & Cancellation Policy, represents the entire understanding between you and Gettysburg Flight School regarding your training, and supersedes any prior verbal or written agreements on the same subject.
